Selection of parts of three muiñieiras, performed by Ramiro Especht (pipe tuned in C); Juan C. Especht (tambourine) and Cristian Alcaraz (bodhran). They are: CHANTADA, by Avelino Cachafeiro (Name of an antique village in the province of Lugo); A CAMPOSA, by Xosé Romero (Place in the province of Oviedo) and PONTE SAMPAYO, traditional (Name of a town in the province of Pontevedra, on the banks of the Oitaben river. It evokes a battle that took place at this site on June 8 & 9, 1809, when Galician forces commanded by poet and military man Gaspar M. de Nava Count of Noroña confronted and forced the French forces commanded by Marshall Michele Ney, Duke of Elchingen to retreat).
