Second Lieutenant and Band Conductor Francisco Pinto (Italy 1870-Argentina 1912), composed Bahía Blanca, a military march, paying tribute to the city. It was published by Tradition in TR020101 "Marches of the Argentine Infantry."

20. Birth of José Figueroa Alcorta, 1860, in the city of Cordoba, Argentina. A lawyer by training, he was Provincial Senator and Minister of Finance of the Province. In 1892 he was elected to the National Congress and in 1895 he became governor of Cordoba. His administration was one of the best in the province. In 1898 he was elected for the National Senate and in 1904 he took office as Vice President of Argentina, elected in the slate with Manuel Quintana. Upon the death of the President, he replaced him, from March 12, 1906 to October 12, 1910. He presided over the celebrations of the First Centennial of the May Revolution. He was the only Argentine citizen to have the honor of presiding over the country's three powers. In the case of the Executive, as a result of replacing President Quintana, in the Legislative as President of the Senate, and in the Judiciary as President of the Supreme Court.
